I am currently looking for a Data Engineering Lead for a tech company based in London who work with some of the world's biggest household names.

They have been growing at 40% year on year over the last 5 years and are looking to continue to grow at a rapid rate.

What you will be doing:

* Lead a team of Data Engineers, championing innovation, high quality on time delivery and continuous improvement.

* Contribute to the design, build and operational management of highly scalable, secure and available data environments that enable the SaaS platforms to operate 24x7

* Follow Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery best practice regarding tools, methodologies and automated workflow / build data pipelines

* Inspire your team to reduce or remove bottlenecks and inefficiencies in data delivery pipelines.

* Take line management responsibility for the members of your team. Typically they have agile teams of 4-7 people.

What am I looking for?

* Experience in leading a team of Data Engineer / Developers in a hands on technical role in an Agile environment.

* Have a strong Software Engineering or Data Engineering background and are able to write code in Python, Java or other platform related Big data technology.

* Experience in a continuous integration / delivery environment with a passion for automation.

* Exposure/Experience in Bigdata Technologies (hadoop, spark, presto, etc.).

* Experience with SQL Server tools such as SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Data Tools and Visual Studio.
