Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Blackpool

Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 + Excellent overtime rates

Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term - March 2019

The Role:

They are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a fixed term contract to March 2019 with the possibility of extension.

This is to work onsite as a pro-active engineer carrying out maintenance on machines (conveyors, motors and drives etc) and breakdown response for faults reported on machines during your shift.

The Candidate:

Their engineers are required to be flexible in the hours they work and there are a variety of shift patterns dependant on the particular contract they are assigned to.

Ideally you'll have worked on waste plants previously as the company accepts this environment may not be for everyone, but it's not essential.

However a mechanical engineering background is essential, specifically with experience of working on conveyors, drives, pumps motors and gearboxes. They also have a minimum requirement of CCNSG, Manual Handling, and a Driving licence while also being over 25. Being MEWP trained is also a bonus but isn't necessary.
