SOC-Security Analyst- Birmingham

New and exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Security Analyst looking for the next stage in their career working in a security operations centre (SOC)

Our client is a global organisation with several clients throughout the world looking for a Security Analyst with a demonstrable interest in IT Security to join their already talented team based in Birmingham

You will be working in partnership with the cyber security team representing security strategy and security interest across all levels of the business.

Required skills and experience:

* Demonstrable interest and passion in cyber security

* Strong IT skills

* Eligible for SC Security clearance

* Evidence of delivering effective incident management

* Ability to problem solve

* Good understanding of cyber security and cyber security threat landscape

* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal and the ability to communicate with individuals at different levels

* Works well in a team environment and demonstrates personal leadership and initiative

* Ability to support multiple services under deadlines

* Ability to respond positively to business change

* Takes responsibility for learning about current products/systems to build own technical knowledge

* Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment

Personal Profile:

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in IT and or cyber security and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be passionate, driven individual dedicated to your own continued professional development. Knowledge using Security Information and Event Management tools and knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
