E-commerce Solutions Architect - Manchester City Centre - 12 Month Contract - Immediate start - up to £575 per day.

Overview:

My client a leading software consultancy based in Manchester City Centre are looking to hire an experienced Solutions Architect with specific experience of working on ecommerce platforms. They have an engagement with one of their key clients to carry out a major upgrade on their ecommerce platform.

As the Solutions Architect, you will serve as the solutions expert, to lead the assessment and help define the next generation e-commerce platform.

Skills

* Define technical strategy for transition to the new target architecture

* Ownership of overarching technical standards, applying leading insight and industry best practices to ensure the engineering teams are pointed in the right direction at all times.

* Help the client understand their technology options and guide them through the opportunities, risks and approaches required to successfully achieve their goals.

* Significant practical experience of IBM WCS and at least one other commercial eCommerce package (Magento, Hybris, Adobe…)

* Architecture and technical design of eCommerce solutions. Able to describe the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches, including concepts such as headless commerce and omni channel.

* Comfortable working in a fast paced Agile development environment.

* Well versed in multiple programming languages, frameworks & tools, including: Java, JavaScript and the range of ancillary tools used on modern e-commerce platforms (e.g. analytics, abandoned basket recovery)
