My client is currently recruiting for a Application/Development Manager to come join them on a permanent basis at their Central Birmingham site.

This position offers progression into Technical Programme Management role, with training and up skilling.

Responsible for all analysis, development and enhancement of all applications as well as application testing in the Bank. The responsibility includes evaluating applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects against resource availability for technical changes as well as testing and monitors delivery against project timelines.

Key responsibilities:

?Managing a team of developers and testers will deliver all application related changes and enhancements on time and to budget and drive utilisation upwards.

?Deputise for the Head of IT and cover the required strategic, management and monitoring activities as and when required,

?Take ownership of all Projects and programme delivery that are in progress in the Bank and deliver a development and testing schedule for these projects

?Manage and coordinate the design, development, testing and deployment of all new applications as well as changes to existing applications.

Essential

*Prince 2 Certifcation

*Excellent knowledge of Banking systems and processes working within Financial Services.

*Experience in a leadership role with in a technology function focussing of project delivery.

*Proven experience of managing and delivering technology changes for complex projects or programmes

*Past experience of hands on application development now managing effective development teams

*Solid knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and implementation of its best practices within smaller development teams.

*Past experience of having managed outsourced vendors delivering development and testing skills.

*Extensive Application development and testing experience

This role is paying up to £89,000 and comes with an excellent benefits package.
