Position: Head of Strategy & Innovation

Location: Southport

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Job type: Permanent

ROLE:

To collaborate with senior business leaders in developing strategies to grow and develop Client. Also, to deliver customer and industry insight and use that insight to inform our business strategy in the short, medium and long terms.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for:

Playing a pivotal role in building Client annual and long-term strategic plans, including digital transformation

Guiding the company on the macro economic factors shaping our industry

Delivering two key customer insight, two legal industry market scan and two non-legal industry market scan reports per year

Responsible for:

Collaborating with senior leaders to facilitate the development of our strategic plans, ensuring they are robust and interconnected

Analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of our chosen marketing channels to support decisions about where we should assign our marketing spend

Assisting with the development of our annual Corporate Plan

Designing the short term, medium term and long-term strategies in terms of both content and presentation

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience of researching and analysing businesses and industry sectors and then applying that insight to create/inform business strategy

Previous experience of working in a senior Strategy role, ideally with a consultancy background

Mathematical and statistical knowledge with strong data analysis skills

Tech savvy with the ability to help us build an excellent tech proposition

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high emotional intelligence

Demonstrable ability to discuss business concepts clearly and present effectively to senior audiences

Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business, its products, its customers and its sector

Knowledge of business financial structures

Strong organisational and project management skills

An existing understanding of the legal sector is desirable, but not essential
