Senior Delivery Manager Telford
My client, based in Telford is looking to hire a Senior Delivery Manager to join their team and sit within the Operations and Change function of business. The purpose of the role is to lead the change resources / team to deliver multiple programmes and projects. You will also be expected to enhance and support the portfolio model working with the Portfolio Manager to deliver key business outcomes. You will need to operate strategically to support the senior mangers and ensure a smooth transition of programmes and projects.
Core Responsibilities s of this role, include but are not limited to:
*To lead & inspire change resources ensuring the portfolio has smart & efficient programme / project / backlog plans that deliver business outcomes
*Ensure programme / project / backlog plans are robust, comply with Change Framework / Methodologies / tools / templates and standards that are in use.
*Manage, monitor and report on the risks, issues and dependencies for the Sub-Portfolio. Ensuring all are under active management.
*Work with the Portfolio Manager to manage change events on the Sub-Portfolio and manage the transition of programme / project / backlog items from Portfolio Management into the Sub-Portfolio.
*Ensure the programmes give due regard to relevant law, regulation and Group policies.
*Actively promotes the value and benefits of the function within the wider organisation.
*Ability to influence and negotiate with Senior Sponsors and Stakeholders, operating a level of communication that instils confidence in this community.
*Positively represents Change Management in engagements with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and also with external counterparts. Manages third party contributions to the project.
* Support the Head of Function with the delivery of the strategic objectives for Change Management.
*Proactively make available appropriate development opportunities for change resources in order to continuously grow the skills / knowledge and experience within the Sub-Portfolio.
In order to be successful in this role you should be a strategic thinker able to operate at a Senior level, you should also have:
*Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ability to operate strategically and
*Excellent influencing and negotiation skills able to manage multiple stakeholders
*Evidence of building and maintaining exemplary stakeholder relationships
*Evidence of embedding a strong performance culture and continuous improvement ethos
*Financial management and budgeting knowledge
*Knowledge or PRA/FCA and / or similarly regulated environment
*Experience with Oracle Time and Labour
*Strong track record of change delivery
*Evidence of application of industry standard change frameworks / methodologies / tools/
*Robust experience of building and managing effective stakeholder relationships
*Robust experience of people management and performance improvement
*Experience of leading and motivating Programme / Portfolio teams
*Evidence of role modelling of behaviours and acts as an ambassador for our on team goal
*Financial Services experience
*Educated to degree level or equivalent / APM or Prince2 Practitioner / MSP Portfolio Practitioner / MPS Programme Practitioner / PROSCI Practitioner or equivalent / Agile knowledge / experience / P30 Practitioner or equivalent (or working toward)
