Excellent opportunity for a CAD design engineer to join an exciting engineering company that will offer you a fun, varied and technically interesting role.

Based in Weston super mare this company are a market leader in their field. They specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of specialised systems that are supplied into commercial and industrial companies.

2018 has been a record breaking year for the company as sales are up 30%, they are continually investing into R&D and expect an 8% growth year on year.

In this role the main task will be to develop the product portfolios for existing range and innovative product ranges. You will also be involved with New product development, create parts lists, manuals and assembly manuals and to draw customer approval drawings.

The ideal candidate will have experience with working with Sheet Metal and Plastic Fabrication, have used a 3D CAD package and hold an engineering qualification.

This is a great role for a design engineer to join a company that will offer you the chance to play a key role in this companies growth and development as well as be given the chance to progress into senior design engineering roles or project management roles.

The Role:

*To develop the product portfolio's for existing range and innovative product ranges

*To draw all standard and non-standard components that need to be manufactured.

*To draw customer approval drawings

*To assist the Technical Manager to administer the Company's technical databases including assisting with technical files, and circulate technical notes as necessary.

*To create parts lists, manuals and assembly manuals

*To raise and implement Design Change Requests

*New product development

The person:

*Working in a Design Environment with Sheet Metal and Plastic Fabrication and operating within an ISO9001:2015 environment

*Working in a Manufacturing Environment and a working knowledge of Health & Safety

*Best Practice in Design, Design for Manufacture and Assembly

*HND or above in Engineering

*AutoCAD - Autodesk Inventor
