Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Graphic Designer for an initial 3 month contract based in Glasgow or Livingston on a rate of c.£225-275/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Using creative flair and working with a wide range of media develop a new approach to delivering original and high visual impact solutions to communicate.

* Work with colleagues in the Inspection area of the organisation to develop a portfolio of creative designs and approaches that exemplify effective practice identified in inspection reports.

* Further develop the sketchnote pilot that has been used in the organisation to illustrate highly effective practice.

* Working with colleagues to develop creative approaches to the delivery of sector specific reports in relation to inspection findings.

* Working with the Strategic Director to develop visual concepts for regular communication with stakeholders.

* Discuss and agree requirements with internal stakeholders, prepare a plan for delivery including timescales and regular reports for all work.

* Liaise with and where necessary co-ordinate the work of external suppliers.

* Advise internal stakeholders on design principles and best practice for design and print-based layouts, with an awareness of the needs of the community.

* Uphold corporate identity and follow our design standards and house-style.

Requirements:

* A proven track record of working in as a Graphic Designer.

* An excellent knowledge of relevant industry standards and recognised best practice approaches in graphical user interface design, accessibility and usability.

* Excellent knowledge of working with the Adobe suite of software products primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

* Knowledge of current design trends in web, desktop and mobile.

* Artistic skills to produce sketch notes or similar.
