A leading multi national company working in the area of Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design for the Automotive applications currently seeks an Analog IC Design Engineer to join their team based in Edinburgh.
In this position, you will work on Analog/Mixed Signal IC's with responsibilities ranging from cell design to whole chip development. You will take a project from the preliminary data sheet stage through to circuit architecture, design, simulation, supervising layout.
You will be involved in transistor level MOS and bipolar Analog IC design including blocks such as comparators, charge pumps, op-amps, power stages, linear regulators, ADC's etc and will be involved in the design of Analog and Mixed/Signal systems/architectures and including testing and supervision of layout activities. You will also be involved in the bench evaluation of silicon.
You will be liaising with other design engineering team members as well as with systems, layout and digital group team members.
Industry degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or Microelectronics, the successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years experience in Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design. Experience is required in Cadence Virtuoso design tools (MMSIM/Spectre/APS/AMS) and familiarity with automotive or power management design and/or power switching techniques is ideal.
Excellent communication skills in English are required with strong motivation and the ability to work as part of a world-wide team of experts in their field.
