We have a fantastic opportunity based in the Midlands for a Power Electronics Engineer to join the R&D department at an established organisation with key focus on the design, development and production of inverters for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for power electronics systems design including the design of DC/DC, DC/AC and AC/DC as well as IGBT's and MOSFET's. Other aspects of the role include scheme analysis, test planning and circuit analysis and optimisation as well as communicating with customers regarding technical details of drawings and specifications and to provide written and verbal engineering reports and presentations.
The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree or PhD and a proven background in Power. Other areas of expertise include:
* Familiar with power electronics application and motor control systems.
* Experience in CAD and EDA tool designs.
* Experience in electrical automotive power train products design or test.
