Do you have a background in plant engineering and experience with procurement and maintaining equipment service schedules?

Are you looking for a varied and challenging role with autonomy over a huge fleet of plant equipment?

In this role you will be liaising with the motorshop manager and operations to project manage the procurement of corrected selected certified equipment, fit for the port requirement, with sufficient maintenance training, servicing schedules, technical manuals and spares support

You will also maintaining equipment servicing schedules, where necessary in order to ensure the correct level of maintenance; avoiding labour intensive over-maintenance whilst ensuring safety and operational reliability.

The ideal candidate will come from a plant engineering background, have experience with procurement and ensuring the plant equipment in serviced and inspected on time.

The role:

*Liaising with the motorshop manager and operations to project manage the procurement of corrected selected certified equipment, fit for the port requirement, with sufficient maintenance training, servicing schedules, technical manuals and spares support.

*Specifying the maintenance training requirement for all mobile plant equipment types.

*Undertaking the amendment of unsatisfactory features within technical manuals or approving hand amendments, as agreed by any letter of safety delegation held.

*Holding design certification records (CE mark) for all mobile plant equipment.

*Maintaining equipment servicing schedules, where necessary in order to ensure the correct level of maintenance; avoiding labour intensive over-maintenance whilst ensuring safety and operational reliability.

*Dictate all user required pre-use checks and set up an authorisation & assurance system for user servicing.

*Arranging LOLER and 5 yearly inspections for all mobile plant.

*Oversee all equipment disposal activity, ensuring appropriate environmental regulations are adhered to and, where the equipment is sold, the purchaser will adhere to those regulations and the best value is obtained for the company.

*Investigate all mobile plant equipment failures to minimize risk of replication.

*Ensuring the engineering asset management system (Pirana) is maintained for mobile plant.

*Assisting the fixed plant engineering authority with Pirana data maintenance.

*Authorise extensions to equipment maintenance and concessions to equipment standard in accordance with any letter of equipment safety authority held.

*Scaling equipment, with view to maximizing utilisation. Undertaking buy/hire analysis for port requirements and conducting an economic review of this at least bi-annually and on any major capability change associated with a change in requirement.

The person:

*Come from a plant engineering background.

*Commercial procurement experience.

*Financial budgeting experience.

*Experience of fleet management and engineering asset management.
