As a Data Engineer you will work on building a data pipeline and infrastructure which will allow the Data Analysts to easily consume and analyse the company's large amount of data. Your day to day responsibilities will include; extracting, cleansing and transforming data in a Postgres database to be used for analytics, proactively understanding data sources, structure and process constraints and developing the data platform in the bank which covers online relational databases, application logic, data pipelines and big data analytics tools.

Based in London, you will be joining a technology driven and collaborative team.

Requirements:

*Strong SQL skills and comfortable using Postgres

*Experience with large, real-time databases (streaming experience highly desirable)

*Previously built, deployed and managed a data pipeline

*Able to write complex queries against large relational databases

*Excellent communication skills

*Desirable: Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Hadoop, Coding experience
