You will be entering a well established manufacturing logistics environment as General Manager and will be ultimately responsible for maximising the performance of the site through man management, change management (where appropriate), operational management and process management. Much of this will be delivered indirectly through a management team reporting to you, but it will require a close eye - at least in the short term - to deliver the results you need. Working closely with the customer you will deliver improved performance with a balance of good old fashioned, hard nosed management and shiny new aged man management tachniques - switching between them at a moments notice as you move the business forwards towards a position where the only focus need be systems & process management. Sounds like a big job right? It probably is, but it also has the potential to propel your career to levels maybe even you didn't think possible.
