Due to a very full order book my client are now looking to add a Mechanical Engineer from a building services background to their permanent team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate offering long term career progression and a great benefits package.

The role:

*Undertake surveys, tests, reports on existing Electrical systems performance and services installations

*Designing and specifying the range of mechanical building services

*Project management including the co-ordination of technical, commercial and procurement advice from internal and external associates. Delivering projects on time and on budget to high customer satisfaction

*Technical and strategic oversight

*Acting as Client's Engineer or Client's Project Manager to ensure best value is obtained from contractors. Advising clients on options, risks and mitigation. Operating embedded within the client's office where required

*Peer review and authorisation of colleagues' work

*Oversee and inspection of installations of measures, commissioning, organising and assessing the work of contractors

*Mentoring less experienced engineers

The person:

*A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar client-facing role in the energy and wider building services/energy efficiency industry

*Experience of working in decentralised energy/district heating.

*Expertise in generation technologies and renewable or low carbon heat/power sources prefered

*Knowledge of building services within commercial and public sector operationS

*Knowledge of current Building Regulations
