Our client is a specialist provider of data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. They are now seeking a Data Centre Technician to join their small Northampton team at their data centre in Moulten Park industrial estate.

Your Role

As a Data Centre Technician, you will support our client’s data centre operations, ensuring they can offer a secure, organised, safe and effective environment.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of data centre operations from security and site policies, operating infrastructure through to conducting sales tours for potential and existing customers.

Responding to faults in the data hall and for site infrastructure, you’ll also deal with cabling, monitor power and set-up and take down racks.

As part of your role, you will be required to take part in an out-of-hours rota.

About You

To be considered as a Data Centre Technician, you will need:

- Previous experience in a data centre support role, which has included cabling work

- A strong customer focus as you will have direct face-to-face contact with customers and visitors

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships

- A positive attitude and the willingness to work within a small team

- A full driving licence

- To live within a 30 minute commute of the Moulten Park industrial estate (to cover out-of-hours emergencies within a given SLA) or be willing to relocate
