Interim Head of IT - London - 6 Months Initially - Rate TBC

Our client a well-established organisation based in London, have asked us to assist in the hire of an Interim Head of IT / IT Strategy consultant to help review and advise the best way forwards with regard to their technology. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Interim IT Head / IT Director to join in an important period of change; there may also be an opportunity for a permanent position after an initial period.

Role Purpose:

Initially to help review Technology, Processes and people across the IT department and help define a strategy and the correct direction to move forwards.

Key Accountabilities:

-IT Strategy and Planning

-System review and evaluation/ analysis of requirements

-Project Management

-People Management

-Supplier Management and procurement

Qualifications, skills, knowledge and competencies:

-People and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful IT projects.

-Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT procurement

-Extensive knowledge of Agile software development and a familiarity with industry standards such as IITIL for infrastructure, PRINCE2 for Project Management and COBIT for IT governance

-A proven track record with solid experience in a similarly small to medium sized/entrepreneurial/complex business covering multiple activities and sectors.

-Multi-disciplinary experience.

-Commercial experience and demonstrable understanding of human, financial and operational processes in identifying and delivering the appropriate sustainable solution(s) to meet the business requirements.

-A credible influencer and leader, able to work in partnership with colleagues on the trading and main boards to align and formulate business driven recommended IT solutions.

-A natural change instigator and pro-active communicator, enabling the effective implementation of approved solutions, encouraging buy in and ownership by respective

-Departments during all phases of respective projects.
