A Senior Oracle Developer is required to join a FTSE 250 engineering and support services organisation based in Keynsham. Within the solutions team you will deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise. Your primary focus will be to ensure customer requirements are understood and that solutions are fit for purpose. You will also be part of the up and coming Oracle 12c upgrade.

You will be a core member of the development team taking on a prominent role in the design and development of innovative software solutions. Your key responsibilities will be:

* Undertake efficient Oracle software development whilst ensuring it is undertaken in accordance with IT quality procedures

* Leading a team of Oracle Developers

* Unit testing to verify developed software performs in accordance with requirements

* Attend workshops/ reviews to discuss development projects

* Ensure code reuse and efficiency

* Prepare comprehensive documentation to support the completed application

* Provide out of hours support where required

* Apply technical experience to assess and advise on the feasibility of solutions

We are looking for someone with experience in the full development lifecycle with a passion for software development. Experience and skills required:

* Substantial period of proven Oracle development experience

* Team leadership experience

* Extensive knowledge of the Oracle web based application development toolset
