Trainee/Junior Estimator role on offer for a world leading company where you play a vital part in successfully delivering bespoke solutions for their long term projects.

Are you an apprentice trained CNC machinist, toolmaker, or CAD/CAM engineer? Do you have a good understanding of costing and the timescales involved to produce components?

This well-established engineering company has built a strong foothold in industries such as Aerospace, Medical, Energy and other growing sectors. Having gone through their own recent expansion they are now looking for someone to step into a mechanical estimating role as a key part of the business.

You will produce quotes from CAD drawings or other data, manage any issues through the process and ensure the final products are delivered on time. The company have a philosophy of providing high quality solutions first time so it is important that you maintain and develop a good relationship with customers and internal teams to achieve this.

The ideal candidate will be time served in the workshop and will want to come off the shop floor into a role that combines technical and commercial skills. Training will be provided on their specific products but you will need to learn quickly and always look for continuous improvements and apply lean manufacturing methods.

The Role:

*Producing quotes from drawings and data

*Machined products from 1 off to large batches

*Managing contracts from initial quote through to order

*Ensuring solutions are delivered on time and to the highest standard

*£35,000 - £40,000 + Training + Development + Excellent Benefits

The Person:

*CNC machining, Toolmaking or CAD/CAM background

*Apprentice trained / Time Served

*An understanding of costs and timescales to produce components

*Good customer facing and commercial skills
