Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Redditch, Competitive SalaryI am currently working with a global automotive tier 1 supplier who design and manufacture driver information displays/instrument clusters to some of the leading automotive OEMs across the world.
The role is working within the growing software development team that has already successfully achieved huge growth in the last 18 months. There is a need for a motivated and talented Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop embedded software in C with a quality oriented approach to join the department.
There is a regular influx of new projects that require collaborating closely with prestigious automotive names with you gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies in such a fast-paced industry.
Your role will encompass the full software development lifecycle with a strong focus on customer requirements.
Ideally you will come from or have good knowledge of the Automotive industry or another safety focused software environment.
Your Key Skills
Essential
-Strong Embedded C programming skills
-Writing 'low-level' software for embedded applications, 32-bit Microprocessors
-Automotive Communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet
-AUTOSAR knowledge
-Green Hills MULTI IDE
-Emulator and Debugger knowledge
-Full SW Development lifecycle
Advantageous
-Knowledge and practice of A-SPICE
-CAPL scripting
-Unit Testing
-Use of Mantis, SVN, MKS and in particular RTC
-Familiarity with Fujitsu Microcontrollers
-Display technologies including LCD, LED, TFT and stepper motor drivers
-Knowledge and practical use of Vector Cast
-Familiarity with EB Guide
Salary and Benefits
-Salary commensurate with level of skill
-Flexible working week: Core hours 8am-5pm (Mon-Thurs) and 8am-12:15 (Friday)
