Infrastructure Engineer, Horwich £40,000A leading provider in reports and services for the legal sector are looking to boost the IT team with an Infrastructure Engineer to help in the continual provision of excellent and innovative IT infrastructure.
Your role:Strategy and Planning - working with the Lead Infrastructure Engineer to establish and deliver the groups infrastructure requirements. Investigate and propose new technologies.Technical Implementation - translate requirements into solutions and implement them. Document configuration and changes to infrastructure systems. Identify areas of concern and investigate. Complete the delivery of technical projects and implementation of new products.Service Delivery Management - Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk team. Monitor capacity and reliability of all systems and components. Complete maintenance plans and schedulesIT Compliance Management - Implement and support infrastructure in line with IS controls such as ISO27001/Sabanes-Oxley. Work with the Group IT Security Manager to deliver requirements to reduce business risk.Business Continuity / OOH working - Form part of the disaster recovery and business continuity procedures. Respond to critical alerts on a flexible basis out of hours. Complete scheduled maintenance/upgrades out of hoursSkills Needed:VMware vSphere, ESXi 6, vCenter, Horizon ViewMicrosoft Server OS 2012 R2Exchange 2013 - migrating to 2016 soonOffice365Core network services - DNS, DHCP, WSUSActive Directory and Group Policy adminNetworking - TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, - HP/Cisco Switches, Routers, MPLS, Nexus switches, Next generation Firewall ManagementUCS Blade platformNimble storageCertifications are desirable but would include a Technical degree or industry qualifications or ITIL Foundation v3.
Salary - £35,000-£40,000 plus discretionary performance related bonus, flexi working, time in lieu given for occasional overtime, training and certifications paid for.
