As our position in the market becomes more established and as the business continues to grow, the importance of a new Head of Finance and Operations, responsible for the strategic direction, assurance and governance of our Finance and Operations capability has become paramount.

Overview of the role

To achieve Incremental Group’s ambition of being the UK’s leading Microsoft Dynamics Partner, a Head of Finance and Operations is required. The successful individual will work in conjunction with existing delivery and sales functions to continue the growth and success of a high performing Finance and Operations practice. They will lead this team in the delivery of UK wide high quality, innovative and timely solutions for our customers.

The Head of Finance and Operations will report to our Technology Director and will be directly accountable for the revenue generated by the practice and the productivity of the consultants within. The Operations Director will be a key relationship for the Head of Finance and Operations.

The successful candidate will possess experience of delivering successful full lifecycle Finance and Operations implementation projects within a consultative environment. Experience working at a Dynamics Gold Partner is highly desirable.

This key leadership role will require the successful candidate to lead both the Consultants within the department and the processes and procedures executed within it while interacting and intervening with customers when required.

Responsibilities

» Oversee and own the Finance and Operations practice, keeping the Technology and Operations Directors aware of significant events;
» Lead the functional (including recruitment) strategy for Finance and Operations practice in line with Incremental’s quality standards, operating policies and working practices;
» Lead the implementation of the Finance and Operations functional strategy in close collaboration with the Technology Director;
» Support development and implementation of the Finance and Operations commercial strategy in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Directors;
» Input and deliver the elements of the joint Incremental/Microsoft business plan directly related to Finance and Operations;
» Assure the effective control of customer contracts in delivering target revenue, productivity, gross margin and customer satisfaction;
» Assure revenue and gross profit forecast accuracy for Finance and Operations is within agreed margins on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
» Maintain billable staff utilisation.
» Undertake skills gap analysis and agree functional training plan.

About you

You will be a highly motivated self-starter with extensive management experience, ideally with knowledge of the digital technology and professional services sector. You may already be in a leadership role or are ready to step up and lead a high performing team and function.

» Demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate, coach and manage people at all levels;
» Planning and successful execution of business strategy;
» Strong and convincing communication skills across all media forms;
» Ability to demonstrate tangible results in operations improvement;
» Strong financial and numerical ability;
» Operating at a senior level and engaging third parties, suppliers and stakeholders;
» Managing your workload and prioritising on short, medium and long-term goals;
» Implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions
» An appreciation of the wider technology landscape within digital transformation;
» Experience of consultative engagements.
