I'm on the lookout for a Graduate Systems Developer for my client who are a fast-growing energy trading and services company based in Dublin City Centre.

You'll be sitting with the Trading team to manage and maintain the extensive codebase and associated database that assists in day to day trading decision making.

As a Graduate Systems Developer, your responsibilities will include:

* Working closely with the Trading and Analysis teams to devise and deliver solutions to problems as well as playing the lead role in delivering incremental system developments

* Owning, tracking and resolving database and data collection related incidents and change requests

* Responsibility for performing routine database and codebase maintenance (e.g. database backups, maintenance, script testing and performance monitoring) according to best practice standards as well as responding to any related alerts

* Taking ownership of the problems and change requests assigned in a time critical environment. This will require establishing and maintaining communication links with a systems savvy user base.

* Establishing a system for tracking and updating the status of projects, actively initiating and performing changes on production and test systems as well as flagging up any issues are likely to negatively impact upon company operations.

Requirements you will need for this Graduate Systems Developer Position:

* Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Data Analytics, Data Science or Mathematics etc..

* Must have strong programming experience - preferably Python

* Strong working knowledge and experience with databases

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders, quantitative analysts, and other software developers
