The Role

As an experienced SQL DBA, you will provide support, guidance and administration on their Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure and be responsible for performing regular housekeeping and maintenance procedures, ensuring backup and recovery procedures are defined and adhered to, troubleshoot SQL Server outages as they occur, and take pro-active measures to reduce the likelihood of re-occurrence.

The role will include the monitoring of system availability and capacity as well as maintaining user access administration and auditing, enforcing least privileges methodology to SQL servers and databases. Working within a small team, you will install, configure and manage Clustered SQL Servers including the management and deployment of Microsoft patches and updates.

o MS SQL clustering using Windows Server 2008, Server 2012, or 2016 including installation

o Operational processes

o Concepts of structured data storage and retrieval
