We are helping to change Britain’s nuclear legacy into an environmental one. As one of the largest reactor decommissioning programmes in Europe, we are seeking to build a special team of world-leading professionals. A team that can help accomplish our mission safely, securely and cost-effectively. It’s a unique opportunity for talented individuals who want to help the country turn a corner.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing the leadership for the Steam Generating Heavy Water Reactor (SGHWR) Decommissioning Project at Winfrith Site. This high profile project forms the critical path for the closure of the Winfrith Site, representing a national milestone in the NDA portfolio, being the first nuclear power reactor to be taken back to a brown field site and the land handed back for public use. Key accountabilities include delivering detail design elements of the project, and transitioning the project to construction, commissioning, operations and final decommission and demolition. Additionally, you will be required to lead consultation and communications with key external and internal stakeholders including regulators, trade unions and management teams across Magnox.

The successful candidate must be a project management professional, preferably APM Registered, NEBOSH certified and a trained NEC 3 practitioner. You will have gained relevant experience in the nuclear industry or a similar highly regulated industry, and have the gravitas and technical capability to meet the demands of the role, as well as good communication skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.
