Nigel Frank are seeking a C# .NET Developer to join a successful company for a 6-month contract. My client is looking for someone with experience developing with C#, and .NET, who is able to take ownership of their work and show initiative in the workplace. This vacancy provides a great opportunity for somebody with a positive attitude and some industry experience, who possesses the right skills and a desire to keep a busy organisation running effectively. Responsibilities * Monitor system performance and status at all times and, in conjunction with monitoring, take early actions to ensure products remain available and of high performance. * Liaise with members of staff and/or clients where appropriate to determine software requirements. * Play an active role in a small Agile team. * Establish a full understanding of the application stacks and how they are connected, administered, configured and maintained. * Develop and improve the applications the company currently uses to improve business performance * Keep abreast of current technology trends within the software environment to gain professional * Ensure time is managed accurately and used effectively. * Ensure work done is delivered on time/budget. Skills and Experience * Strong commercial experience in C# development and coding * Solid experience in a number of the following - ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, Web API/JSON, HTML5, CSS3, MS SQL Server and MS Office with VBA. * Knowledge of OOP principles * Good understanding of web development * Knowledge of Source control - TFS/Source safe. * Experience in designing, analysing and troubleshooting applications * Understanding of T-SQL Server or other relational databases including stored procedure development. * Strong grasp of software design patterns and effective development methodologies * Excellent diagnostic, debugging, and problem solving skills. * Ability to work in team environment, while being self-directed, proactive and action oriented. * Able to bring ideas to the table on how to improve applications and code base This role is in Brighton.
