Network Engineer

My award winning and market leading client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their growing IT team at their newly refurbished head office in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

As the Network Specialist you will bring your skills to the network resolver team within IT Operations. You will be pivotal in my clients continued transition to the cloud and their network support function. As part of IT Operations you will be involved in the day to day running and projects alike.

Key responsibilities:

*Monitoring of network services, using internal and third party tools

*Configuration of firewall rules, Azure NSG rules, Cisco switches, Meraki Wireless and other security devices, following our change process

*Escalated support issues, diagnosis, and requests via our service management tool

*Technical interface to our network suppliers, participating in service review meetings as required

*Offer advice to IT Operations on networking trends, performance, and roadmaps of technology

*Escalation support and technical documentation for telephony systems

*Knowledge base, work instructions, CMDB and process documentation

*BAU schedule of regular tasks

*Being part of a team which cover the hours of 8am to 6pm, additionally out of hours support on rota

Key skills and experience required:

*Experience working in a similar Network Engineer role for an SME

*CCNA qualification

*Cisco switch experience

*Cisco Meraki Wireless experience

*Azure NSG experience

*Firewall experience, preferably Palo Alto

*Cisco ISE experience

*Experience working with third party suppliers

*Dynamic nature, logical diagnostic processing powers, and friendly interpersonal skills

*Great communication skills, good time keeping, and a pride in your work.

*Passion for excellent customer service quality
