You will have the opportunity to manage a small and diverse team of designers and estimators within an interesting and challenging role and the responsibility to manage varied design projects from £100k to £1.5 million.

This role is based in Yeovil and specialise in mechanical and engineering contracting for large projects and a range of clients. For the right person, if relocation is required, the company are willing to assist with costs.

In this role you will be managing a small skilled design team, work on a range of mechanical design projects, oversee drafts and coordinated drawings and liaising with clients and contractors to ensure designs are carried out to a high standard. This position will allow you to make the role your own, provides the flexibility to work from both home and on site and progress technically within a company with a nurturing culture and that provides role stability and longevity.

A successful candidate will be experienced in the management of a team, have broad knowledge of building services engineering and have technical and hands on skills and knowledge in design.

The ideal candidate will have design understanding and hold HNC or HND qualifications to be proficient in the role. They will also have significant experience with CAD operations and design software including 'Hevacomp' and 'AutoCAD'.

*Managing and undertaking design projects

*Delegating roles and overseeing design drafts

*Based in Yeovil

The person:

*Ability to manage a team (5 years ideally)

*Building services engineering knowledge

*Technical knowledge and understanding of Design

*Estimating background (ideal)

*Hold a HNC or equivalent in Building Services Engineering

*Ideally worked in mechanical and electrical contracting

*A competent user of various design software (AutoCAD and Hevacomp)
