A unique opportunity to join as a new software developer for a new software company and help shape its direction based in Bristol. This company works primarily with start-ups that are pre-investment to prototype products, putting in place a growth roadmap and enacting it when funding is secured.

As a Software Developer you will work across the full development lifecycle and across a number of projects. Example tasks including adding new pages and processes to websites and apps, integrating with 3rd party services and creating tests that assure the resilience of code delivered.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, ambitious and entrepreneurial, with some general computing experience and a keen interest in learning much more.

On offer is personalized training and coaching in a variety of programming languages, systems and tools.

There will be plenty of opportunity to work on some large ongoing projects for the initial clients and all internal systems, with smaller projects to lead.

You will become a full-stack, full-life-cycle engineer working mainly with .NET and Node.js

Skills we are looking for include;

HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JSON

Proficiency with JavaScript

Familiar with an Object-Oriented language, E.g. Java, C#, PHP, Python

Use of the Windows operating system

It would be a bonus but not essential if you have experience with;

A hosting environment E.g. IIS, Express.js, Apache

A database system, E.g. MsSQL, MySQL, NoSQL

A CMS platform, E.g. Wordpress, Joomla, Umbraco, Drupal etc.

Use of source control, Git or SVN

Familiarity with REST, HTTP, WebAPI, JSON web tokens

Not expected - training provided:

A testing framework, xUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Mocha, Chai

Build tools: MSBuild, VSTS, Bamboo, Buildmaster, Jenkins, Travis, and Chef

Native App Dev: Swift, Kotlin, Java, C++

Cross platform Apps: Xamarin, Nativescript, Ionic, PhoneGap, and Cordova

Working practices: Agile, Scrum, Kanban (Sprints, Tasks, Pointing)
