Sourcing Manager - Maidenhead - 9 months

My client is looking for a Sourcing Manager to join their multinational technology company on a 9-month contract in Maidenhead.

Role

As a sourcing manager you will be expected to source, manage and monitor third party contract for software (SW) IP and/or Cloud services. You will manage suppliers by supporting supplier on boarding, risk assessments, Bill-of-Materials, structuring and license compliance.

You may also support strategic initiatives in addition to but not limited to ongoing supplier relationship,

Key Responsibilities

* Sourcing and qualification of market leading third party SW, cloud service providers and cloud management tools.

* Conducting regular supplier performance, contract and cost analysis reviews to develop a SW and cloud approved vendor list (AVL) and drive targeted negotiations with preferred service providers.

* Maintaining an understanding of industry trends to make educated recommendations about pricing, competition, supplier optimization, and market compression.

* Managing third party service agreements: contract terms, negotiations, renewals, commitments, compliance, pricing/payment structures and cost reduction strategies.

* Managing strategic relationships with third party suppliers to understand contract terms, use cases rights and restrictions, data privacy and IP ownership to identify and mitigate complex costing and compliance issues.

* Establishing standardized contract templates and KPIs for optimal supplier performance.

* Working closely with internal teams to ensure lifecycle management, including End of Life (EoL) and last time buys (LTB's) for all third-party SW and cloud service contracts across the enterprise

* Supporting the development of Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and PaaS operational policies, procedures and systems.

Experience Required

* Experience and working knowledge of software license and supply agreements and/or contracts

* Industry knowledge of software licensing, contract compliance and software Bill-Of-Material (BOM) structuring preferred

* Understanding of networking industry with software or IT contracts

* Several years of experience in procurement activities and associated contract negotiations

* Minimum 5 years in senior purchasing role

* Degree in Supply Chain, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred but not essential
