Technical Support Engineer (Lasers)

Crawley, West Sussex

£40,000 - £45,000 + Training + Pension + Holiday

Excellent opportunity on offer a technical support engineer to join an innovative company that designs and develops state-of-the-art process solutions for multiple markets.

Are you a Technical Support Engineer with experience or knowledge of lasers looking to join a market leading company?

Established over 40 years ago this global laser company has a presence in a vast range of markets including automotive and aerospace. They are growing and currently looking for someone to help them support there UK and European clients.

You will be a crucial part of a small team of engineers and scientists in the UK. The role will consist of provide comprehensive support on their cutting edge technology to customers and the manufacturing team in the UK and in Europe.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has strong background in electronics engineering or and has sound knowledge of laser industry. You'll be used to wearing multiple hats in an organisation and will want to contribute outside your remit where possible.

The Role:

* Provide support to external clients with initial laser installation

* Provide support manufacturing team in laser alignment, setting and installation

* Provide support R&D on key projects whenever required.

* Write up detailed reports about the cases in the service department

* Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on laser systems on customer sites.

The Person:

*Experience as a Technical support engineer (laser)

*Must of worked with lasers

*To be able to travel up to a week at a time

*To be self-motivated, ambitious and able to work under your own initiative
