PRODUCT MANAGER
Permanent position based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire - up to £60k
My client provide IT products and services to Schools and Colleges throughout the UK. They are seeking to hire a number of Product Managers to join the Digital Platforms team at a hugely exciting time where they are challenging previous thinking around digital platforms and what they should provide to schools. Targeting ambitious growth, they passionately believe that they have a fantastic suite of products ready to be taken on to the next level.
The Product Manager has responsibility for the day to day product management of a portfolio of products within the Digital Platforms portfolio, under the direction and lead of the Head of Product Management. You will also work with other Product Managers, who own other Digital Platform products.
Key responsibilities
Financial monitoring of the product P&L
* Understand the annual targets and monitor progress against them, working with the Head of Product Management to manage the P&L and interpret the annual business plan into executable tasks (e.g. Products, Price, Sales Volumes and Market Share)
Product Ownership and Strategy
* Own and manage the product roadmap, liaising closely with the development team
* Manage third party suppliers who provide value add services to enhance the product portfolio
Product evangelism and market influence
* Evangelism of the proposition internally within RM and externally in the market.
* Passionately champion the portfolio and contribute to the vision and strategy
Market insight and propositions
* Engage with customers at all levels in order to gain insight into their current challenges and also be confident to champion RM's propositions to them.
* Use the market knowledge gained from customer interactions to propose new market led propositions to drive customer acquisition and to evolve existing propositions.
