Business Support Officer

£150 Per Day

End of Finance Year (31st March 2019)

My Government Client has an exciting opportunity based in Bristol. They're looking for an Business Support Officer to support the finance support team within their IT Department. The contract is until the end of the financial year (31st March) with possible extensions.

Key Skills:

*Raise requisitions to agreed standards using one of two financial systems. The post holder must be confident in communicating with customers, attention for detail and able to manage large amounts of information sometimes at short notice.

* For project requisitions Project Managers will place their requirements on a SharePoint site which the post holder will access, check documentation and raise a requisition through the appropriate approvers in order to obtain a Purchase Order before updating the Project Manager.

*Learning and Development requisitions are raised through direct conversation with the relevant teams.

*Receipt invoices or provide financial details from the system as not all staff have access to the financial systems. Some knowledge of finance is desirable but not essential. Full training and support can be provided.

*Manage communication between the Authority and key suppliers to provide a financial and commercial approval to proceed with work requests. This area follows clearly defined steps involving a number of different types of documents and approvers. This is not a new area of work however the number of suppliers is increasing and may therefore change and evolve over time. The post holder will work closely with colleagues both internally within the team, across the function and beyond, communication is an essential skill as well as flexibility and eagerness to learn.

*Provide support across the team for similar mailboxes, cover to raise requisitions for other work areas, generate reports, support during financial year end.
