Job Title: Project Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus - Negotiable

Location: Liverpool Customers and Surrounding Areas

Work Pattern: 37.5 Hpw

Access Talent are Project and Programme Resourcing Specialists for the permanent, contract and interim market.

Reports To: Head of Projects

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager you will be directly customer facing and present on customer site, responsible for ensuring that all projects are managed to agreed standards and methodology, and deliver the expected customer benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the job will include:

* All aspects of Project Management; accountability for programme and project delivery

* Definition, scoping and planning of multi-disciplinary programmes and projects

* Project planning; producing the project plan and ensuring all resources are identified

* Building key client relationships and managing stakeholders

* Feasibility studies and business case development

* Benefits tracking to ensure the benefits are realised and the project is successful

* Change management through-out the project lifecycle for all changes related to cost, quality and time

* Financial management, of all related project expenditure, hardware, software, capital and opex

* Quality management, ensuring the project deliverables are of a high quality

* Risk management; through risk identification, risk analysis and planning to mitigate the risks

Main Duties:

* Project manage business and change projects on behalf of customers

* Sit on client/s IT Steering Group and/or liaise with the Project/Program Sponsor

* Liaison with Stakeholders and customers at all levels

* Document the project scope and gain agreement from the customer

* Produce a communication plan (if relevant)

* Produce a quality plan (if relevant)

* Manage and document all project change, related to cost, quality and time are recorded on the RADICAL log

* Capture all project decisions on the RADICAL log

* Ensure all meeting have an agenda, either formal one for important meetings or on the outlook meeting invitation

* Ensure all important meetings have meeting minutes, distributed within 48 hours

* Establish consistent management policies and guidelines

* Manage project deliverables and tasks as identified on the project plan

* Manage risks and issues

* Manage actions logs and weekly meetings

* Manage stakeholders and communication

* Ensure all project interdependencies and external dependencies are identified and taken into account during the plan phase

* Plan and prioritise sub-projects to meet the overall project goals

* Oversee selection and appointment of services and resources to projects

* Manage project resources; schedule, resolve resource conflicts

* Facilitate regular reporting, reviews and steering packs

* Undertaking supplier selection, management and point of escalation

* Initiate and maintain project plans and documentation

* UK travel and overnight stays

* Driving licence and Access to Car

* Write customer business case

* Managing and motivating project teams

* Supporting negotiations with external vendors

* Manage project budget, recording all financial information and expenditure

* Ensure efficient closure and archiving of project or program records

* Produce project lessons learnt on project completion

* Ensure smooth handover into support for on-going business as usual management (if relevant)

* Ensure timesheets are completed each Friday

* Ensure expense are completed within 3 working days of the end of the month

* Attend any relevant training required to keep your job knowledge current and role specific
