EXCHANGE & INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Our client a multinational IT and Professional services organization is seeking an experienced Exchange & Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join their team based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare
Role Summary:
The Exchange & Infrastructure Systems Engineer requires require a good level of analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to not only own and run issues from start to resolution for BAU, take on the varying requirements of project work but are also required to be client focused with a high standard of communication and documentation skills.
Our client is looking for an Exchange & Infrastructure Systems Engineer to provide deep technical support for servers running Exchange Server 2007, 2010, 2013, Enterprise Vault. Wintel, Storage, Backup, DBA, SAP, Oracle skills are also desirable as secondary skillsets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Strong technical knowledge in:
* Performance monitoring tools
* Exchange administration
* PC - Server architecture including HP Blade systems and interconnects
* Windows Server installation and configuration
* SCSI and Storage technology - Good theory & hands on knowledge
* Windows Networking - TCP/IP
* Managing discs and logical partitions
* Exchange Clustering / High Availability options
* Active Directory
* VMWare
* HP OpenView
* Office Lync 2010
* VMware ESX
* HP Data Protector (integration into Exchange)
* HP Blade Enclosures
* General Windows Server
* Blackberry Enterprise Server
* Office Lync 2010
* Nearpoint Email Archiving
* IronPort Email Scanning
* Enterprise Vault
Requirements:
* Excellent communication skill: Oral and written - English.
* Customer and service orientation.
* ITSM knowledge.
* Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Certifications such as MCSE, CNE, MSP, Cisco or similar certifications would be preferred.
* Experience of supporting a variety of Windows client and server operating systems.
* Ability to work on more than one project.
* Knowledge of monitoring alerting, logging and status messages.
* Strong troubleshooting skills of Infrastructure technical issues.
* Experience of Incident and Ticket handling.
