Senior Systems Administrator - up to 60K plus bonus and equity

London, Paddington

Award-Winning, Top 20 UK Tech Innovators, is looking to recruit a Senior Systems Administrator, who has deployment experience in the cloud. You will have an opportunity to manage and maintain the SaaS platform on Amazon Web Services in London and Canada. All of the technology and deployment scripts are already in place and working in a production environment. We are currently in the process of conducting professional Pen Testing and ISO Security and Management certification. Our stack consists of MongoDB, NodeJS and React.

Skills / Environment

*Solely responsible for managing the infrastructure and willing to expand their horizons

*Proactive in improving the company's infrastructure

*Ability to analyse new software/hardware and select the best choice of tool

*Exposure to managing servers in a commercial cloud provider (e.g AWS, Azure, Rackspace, Google Cloud, etc.)

*Experience in creating and managing deployment scripts

*Experience in utilising and managing scripts used for orchestrations (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes)

*Experience in managing Linux systems

*Setting up and maintaining monitoring software (e.g. Zabbix, Prometheus/Graphana etc)

*Competent in at least 1 scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell, Bash).

*Networking and firewall knowledge

Any exposure to the below would be a bonus:

*Experience working as the DevOps/System Admin/Infrastructure engineer in the past

*AWS/EC2

*Knowledgeable in CentOS/Ubuntu

*Worked with MongoDB

*Worked with C++ /Cmake environments

*Worked with NodeJS Servers

Role Overview

As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the cloud infrastructure on AWS, writing deployment scripts and monitoring procedures. You will oversee security implementation and ISO certification.

Salary: up to 60K
