The country’s leading manufacturing of soft furnishings is looking for a Junior Developer to join its team in St Helens.Steeped in local history, the family run business continues to provide the best design, service and aftercare to the UK’s soft furnishings market.
They are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic candidate to join their IT team, supporting their platform modernisation plan. Ideally, you will have a passion for developing solutions and making technology work for a business.
As a Junior Developer, your daily duties will include:
Establishing and developing solutions needed to implement new industry specific ordering solution - including middleware and data translation.Ensuring new software and solutions are fully tested and meet business requirements.Being pro-active in identifying re-occurring problems and developing the appropriate support documentation to aid for quick resolution in future incidents and/or escalating to development team for solution to be implemented.Assisting with the development and maintenance of all internal systems.Ensuring high availability of all systems by ensuring all software is tested to a high degree.Ensuring security is always maintained within sensitive areas of the system and can only be modified by staff with appropriate permissions. To be a successful Junior Developer, you will have the following skills and experiences:
Experience in SQL Server.Experience with .NET (VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET).Previous experience in a support or development background.Problem solving tools and techniques.To be result focused with strong decision-making skills. In return, a Junior Developer will receive a salary of £20,000 - £30,000 per annum.
