This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a team of talented individuals developing embedded software for a range of products in the Defence, aerospace and telecoms industry.

Key Skills/Responsibilities

* Design, implementation and testing of embedded software

* To develop embedded software in C++ to test RF equipment

* Creation of system level software requirements and design specifications

* Participate in software design reviews

* Reviewing technical documents related to communications standards

* To maintain, test and improve existing software

* Proven experience in C++ development, object oriented design and implementation

* Proven ability to design, implement, integrate and debug complex hardware / software systems

Desirable Skills

* Knowledge of RF telecommunications

* Knowledge of RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analysers and communications testers

* Remote instrumentation control using SCPI via GPIB, VXI etc.

* Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques

* Previous experience of configuration management tools (Clearcase, GIT, RTC)

* Previous experience of QT development

The Individual

* Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely

* Able to work effectively without supervision

* Good self-organisational skills
