The Job

You will be working on React/Typescript on the front end of their high-volume identity platform. This is key to the company’s current and future products. The overall platform is a complex and distributed system written in Golang on the backend. It is exposed in a RESTful way and backed by PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ and dedicated crypto hardware. It is designed to meet the needs of the IOE as well as major cloud deployments.

Specifically you will be focussing on a greenfield transformation project where you will be replacing legacy Business Support Systems with a modern platform, shifting from an entirely on-prem to hybrid cloud/on-prem involving some cloud architecture. As an integral part of a technically strong, agile team.

Successful Candidate Profile

Write clean React, Javascript code. Someone who doesn’t believe that more code solves all problems.

A fast learner. Someone who enjoys and is proactive in skilling up and is always keen to expand their stack.

A team player comfortable helping others and asking for help.

Role

You will be designing and implementing an advanced React.JS UI to provide public facing functionality and integration with their backend and 3rd party systems.

Collaborating with frontend engineers on delivering external and internal Single Page Applications.

Assuring system compliance and security, liaising with security and compliance officers

As well as assuring code quality by implementing automated testing tools and processes where appropriate.

Aligning your development process with the rest of our CI/CD practices and workflows.

Measuring and establishing baseline platform performance.

Qualifications/Experience

Experience in building sophisticated React UI’sfor high traffic websites/services

Some knowledge in one or more of the following (Java, Javascript, Python, Golang)

Preferably experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
