I am recruiting a Nuclear Procedure Manager to work for a FTSE 250 Engineering Support Services Organisation in Plymouth. This role functions within their Naval Marine Division, which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy.

You would be responsible for supervising a team of Nuclear Procedure Authors and to ensure appropriate documentation is produced to support nuclear related activities and processes conducted on submarines across the dockyard.

Responsibilities:

* In conjunction with the PAG Chair, to analyse the worklist of projects and subsequent variations against the requirements of Nuclear Safety Management Arrangements and Safety Cases to provide information for the preparation of a listing of all nuclear documentation required for each project.

* To assist the PAG Chair in the production and review of the Nuclear Procedure Index and Nuclear Logic for each project.

* To ensure that the necessary documentation for the conduct of nuclear repairs and maintenance, meets the quality and safety case requirements, as defined in the Administration Control Document (ACD) for a specific project.

* To continually review the status of Nuclear Procedures using the NEB Database and ensure completed SSN Nuclear Procedures are reviewed, corrected as necessary and signed off by the PAG to meet key project milestones.

* Ensure that lessons learnt from previous projects, occurrences, events and other sources of information are fed into future and current prescription and procedures.

* To manage the NEB procedure database to ensure that the record requirements of SBU (D)-SD-629 are met.

* Maintenance of a suite of in date Standard Nuclear Procedures for regularly undertaken tasks in accordance with the definition in SBU (D)-SD-088.

* Maintenance of a suite of in date Nuclear Technical Instructions for key Production activities.

* Representing the PAG during audits.

* To Liaise with SFM PAG and other authorisation groups to ensure commonality of NPs and maintenance of standards.

Required Experience

* A minimum of an HNC in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

* Nuclear plant and procedure writing experience.

* Management or leadership experience.

* Completion of additional nuclear courses would be desirable.
