Quality Assurance Manager

£40,000 - £55,000 + Progression + Health care package + Holiday + Private pension

Excellent opportunity for a quality manager with a background in pharmaceuticals to join a rapidly expanding, ambitious company who are a specialist in nutraceuticals. The role itself provides prospects for progression into senior roles and where you can stamp your mark from a quality point of view..

This company, based in Somerset, are a specialist research based nutraceutical company for a wide range of markets including veterinary, agricultural and human. As the company are growing quickly, they are looking for a motivated individual to play a part in the striving the company towards their goals.

In this role you will work closely with the operations director and production manager, lead a small team, host and prepare for audits, oversee the product release process, and manage approvals for raw materials and suppliers and ensure the overall quality of processes are carried out to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have worked a similar role, have a background in pharmaceuticals or the veterinary medicines industry, hold a science related degree, be a competent manager and be keen to progress a career and want to work towards driving the company forward.

The Role:

*Working closely with operation director and production manager

*Manage quality functions to ensure adherence of compliance and certification

*Investigate complaints and implement CAPA

*management of raw material and supplier approvals

*Hosting and preparing for audits

*Management of a small team

*Overseeing positive release system and product release

The Person:

*Science based degree - Biology/Chemistry/Biomedical

*2 years' background in a similar role

*Management skills

*Pharmaceutical background

*Veterinary medicines industry experience (ideal)

*Level 4 qualification in food safety and HACCP (ideal)

*External audit qualifications (ideal)
