I am working with a Peterborough based client involved with live television and broadcasting, who is looking for a Trainee Graphics Operator to join their team. This is an excellent and unique opportunity for someone who is looking for an entry level technical role in the industry. You will be responsible for developing and preparing graphic outputs that appear on screen for both live and pre-recorded broadcasts; and report directly to the Graphics Supervisor.Your Key Responsibilities will be:

'€¢Using bespoke in-house software, produce product descriptions'€¢Compile other relevant product information  such as strap/ticker information using the in-house software'€¢Apply and amend text in the product information slates using in-house software'€¢Using Adobe Photoshop, create full screen information that is creative and visually pleasing'€¢In preparation for broadcasting, re-format supplier brand logos and imagery'€¢To compile or amend data-pool fed, daily menu bed information'€¢Deal with any other graphic requests on an ad hoc basis as and when they arise'€¢In emergency cases, offer graphics support'€¢In the absence of the on-site engineer, provide basic system technical support'€¢Be able to work to  constant deadlines and work effectively in a live TV environment'€¢Ensure that all health and safety information and procedures are adhered to at all times

You will work 12 hour shifts on 7 days within a 2 week period and work every other weekend. Benefits of this though is that you have a week where you work 2 days and a week with 5 days.
