Drilling/Decommissioning Operations Manager - 12 Month Contract - Aberdeen

My client is looking for a Drilling/Decommissioning Operations Manager for an initial 12 month contract based in Aberdeen working with a large world leader in power generation technology. The role will be full time on site and may require some out of hours working, and the client can offer a competitive daily rate.

Required Experience:

*

Minimum 10 years in a similar role for Oil & Gas Operators

*

Suitable tertiary education in Engineering

*

Hands on well-site experience on both floating and fixed installations

*

Detailed knowledge of current UK guidance, legislation and regulation specifically related to decommissioning and Well Abandonment execution

*

Considerable experience of leading Well Abandonment and/or Platform Decommissioning Campaigns

*

Detailed knowledge of all aspects of drilling engineering topics and operations including well de-complete and plug & abandonment operations

*

Good knowledge of subsurface issues and remediation techniques

*

Planning, cost management, and logistics knowledge and awareness

*

Appropriate training in accordance with Well Operator's competency matrix

*

UKCS offshore survival, medical, MIST and IWCF Level 5 Well Control required for operational phases

Responsibilities:

*

Together with input from the execution teams, the position will have responsibility for overseeing planning and execution on all turnkey decommissioning activities both platform based and subsea.

*

Integrating Late Life solutions into decommissioning phases ensuring smooth and effective interface that achieve additional value for BHGE and Customers.

*

Be actively involved in the specification, contracting and management of the MODU or platform rig contractor, vessels and other key service providers.

*

Responsibility for implementation of Well Operatorship compliance, process and procedures.

*

Ensuring Management System Interface Documents to bridge with MODU's and vessels are compiled and in place.

*

Oversees the Management of Change process, Risk Management including mitigation plans and where appropriate dispensations sought & approved.

*

Managing, reviewing and endorsing work programmes.

*

Alternate for Product Line Director as required in terms of well abandonment functions.

*

Oversee the maintenance and updates of Policies, and Operations Procedures relating to Decommissioning and well abandonments.

*

To mentor and review team personnel and development plans where appropriate.
