Business Analyst - Payment Systems and Accounting - Investment Bank

A payments / finance Business analyst is required to work on a major programme that is underway to renew the Investment banks UK Payment Engine. Covering GBP and other currencies, (CHAPS, BACS, Credits/Debits/Direct/Indirect, Faster Payments Cheque Clearing) etc. As a Business Analyst you will have knowledge of payments flows including controls and accounting principles. You must have experience of working as a Business Analyst in an investment banking environment. Skilled in User requirements; writing functional specs, test preparation and execution activities, able to build and execute test books. Comfortable with software development and delivery in Agile and Waterfall framework. Able to work efficiently with mixed location teams

Role;

The core activities expected are requirements analysis and definition, gap analysis compared to central offer, testing validation and triage traceable to each requirement, activation support. The successful candidate will also need to have a very good understanding of accounting principles in an investment banking environment, be comfortable working with teams in different geographical locations, have extensive experience of preparing and executing testing activities, and be able to work in an Agile framework within the core project team.
