NOC Engineer - Cisco, Juniper TAC, Windows, VMware - £40,000 per annum - Milton Keynes

My leading client is currently recruiting for a NOC Engineer to join their established team based in Milton Keynes. Working in an operational environment, you will be required to support the day to day BAU Network Operations which includes:-

* Identify and manage any escalated faults with 3rd party suppliers for major incidents or network improvements e.g. Cisco / Juniper TAC

* Ensure backups are correctly set up and monitored

* Ensure Network Service is restored within SLA, manage a busy environment and prioritise incidents

* Reduce avoidable calls logged with the service desk, isolate root causes and develop proactive and automated scripts to deal with specific issues.

In order to be successful, you must have good troubleshooting experience working with Cisco, Juniper technologies within a support environment to 3rd line level. In addition to networking, it's important that you can also demonstrate having experience with Microsoft technologies, Windows Server, VMware. Any storage experience would also be extremely beneficial.
