Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java 8 JVM Hazelcast REST API). Would you like to work on complex Greenfield Java JVM real-time systems hosted in the Cloud, working collaboratively and have your voice heard?

Start-up software house that is developing a revolutionary new sports streaming / data platform to rival the likes of Sky and BT Sport is seeking a technologist Java Developer to design and develop backend functionality for a highly complex sports data and live streaming platform.

Most of the work is Greenfield development to white label their technology; as a Java Developer you will take ownership of complex and interesting technical projects, delivering live data with extremely low latency through to a global client base including betting companies and major broadcasters. The technology stack is based on Java and JVM technologies (Hazelcast, Guava, Jackson, Logback) deploying to the cloud (AWS and Google App Engine) using Continuous Integration techniques.

You'll be working in a collaborative, technology driven environment - making technology decisions and contributing to product strategy.

Requirements for Java Developer:

*You have a passion for technology with an "engineering mindset" - strong analysis and problem solving abilities

*You have strong core Java backend development experience

*You have worked with Hazelcast or similar framework

*You have experience of building REST APIs and knowledge of HTTP protocols

*You have full lifecycle development experience with a good knowledge of software architecture

*You possess a good understanding of DevOps culture; experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet desirable

*You have excellent communication skills, collaborative team player
