Web Developer - PHP - Midweight to Senior

Come and work for one of the largest, fast-moving and dynamic B2B web design and development agencies in the Southwest, with offices in both Salisbury and Covent Garden (London). As a Web Developer, you will join a busy team of highly experienced and capable developers in our Salisbury office; working directly with our Project Managers, design team and clients to plan and develop internet-based sites and solutions.

You will need to have a background in developing websites and applications with 2+ years commercial experience preferably having worked within an agency environment. Experience of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and usability/accessibility standards are a must, as is the ability to program using PHP. Experience of using PHP frameworks such as Laravel is a distinct advantage.

Essential experience

- Strong MySQL knowledge

- Strong JavaScript & jQuery skills

- Strong PHP skills and OOP

- Solid grasp of HTML5 and CSS/SASS

- Good grasp of git, git flow, and command line tools

- Mobile-first development practice

Desirable experience

- PHP frameworks such as Laravel/Symfony

- PHP Unit or other testing framework

- Dealing with APIs

- REACT

- Understanding of Agile principles and Scrum
