Location: Lakeside, Portsmouth

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 + Benefits

An opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer to join the UK's Leading Engineering Support Services organisation as part of their Internal IS Division based in Lakeside, Portsmouth.

As a Communications Officer you will assist the Communications Manager in planning and implementing communications to all stakeholders within Corporate Services.

Responsibilities in this role include:

* Drafting and editing content for emails, newsletters and the intranet.

* Ensuring that intranet content is accurate, up to date and well written.

* Supporting the Communications Manager with running the quarterly CIO Briefing

* Maintaining up to date email distribution lists for employee communications around the organisation

This client will consider Graduates with a Creative/Marketing degree, also the opportunity for Part Time working will be considered.

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will have a creative and design like mind/experience, with the ability to write and be creative. Confident communicating to large numbers of stakeholders.

Experience of writing and editing content for range of channels, including online will be beneficial.

Excellent IT Skills, including MS Office

You will be comfortable completing administrative duties where required.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of staff

* Professionalism with a friendly approachable attitude

* Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision

* Strong attention to detail, particularly with regard to spelling and grammar

* Able to work collaboratively with others in the department and across the Group

* Highly organised with excellent time management skills

* Flexible, can do attitude
