Role Purpose:
Spring Technology requires a Software Licensing Consultant to assist their client throughout a 6 month project; to ensure that correct vendor licence and software assurance arrangements are in place for all software within the role's project/programme scope.
Main duties:
* To build a Business Case and funding for the project
* Build/ ensure the bridge between required software products and the business services they support
* Procurement of licence and software assurance deliver best value for money, through-life
* Leverage exiting licences
* To make sure that current licence / SA thresholds are not exceeded
* Ensure only products from approved suppliers are procured and used on site
* Ensure only technically approved products are used on site
* Recover unused software
* Make changes and improvements to SAM and related process are actively supported
* Provide auditable records that can be retained in line with the Software Asset Management Team process
Essential skills/ Experience :
* Must be eligible to take security clearance!
* ISEB Foundation certificate in IT Service management (ITIL)
* Experience of Software licencing and assurance models
* In-depth IS experience
* ITIL and Prince2 certifications or experience
* Stakeholder management
* Excellent communication
