Data Analyst

One of our public sector clients is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract until September 2019. As a data analyst you will be responsible for managing, analysing, and providing performance information to enable the organisation to continuously improve performance.

You will interrogate a number of data sources to meet statutory statistical requirements and make recommendations to continuously improve the data provision.

As the Data Analyst your duties will include, but not limited to:

*Extracting data from internal bespoke systems

*Manipulate data using Microsoft Excel, and presenting this in tables/charts

*Responding to Freedom of Information data requests

*Management of the management information systems, and analyse this data to support strategic, tactical and performance management processes

*Prepare reports relating to systems specifications, data manipulation and analysis, ensuring that any data submitted to external agencies is quality assured

*Design data returns, data presentation and develop standard performance reports

*Identify any additional data sources and other ways to enhance the accuracy of data in the performance systems

As the Data Analyst you will be required to possess:

*Strong experience with using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables/Vlookup and advanced formulas

*Experience with the presentation of data in tabular, graphical and written

*Previous knowledge of information systems/business intelligence systems

*Experience of managing performance systems/data and providing data, management and performance information to support organisation change and improvement

*Experience working with Business Objects and Microsoft Report Builder would be advantageous

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about data, and is wanting to progress their career within a crime analytics focus. This is a FTC until September 2019. The salary on offer for this role is up to £25,000.
